Riley's Second Birthday!

We had a blast, celebrating Riley's second birthday. On the actual big day (March 30), we not only got to go to Egglectic for brunch with my college roommate, Julie, but in the afternoon, we experienced the fun trifecta: the PARK by the TRAIN tracks with ROBBIE! It really doesn't get much better than that. Riley LOVED the day, and I loved that she loved it. After all, birthdays are special, and my big girl only turns two once! :)

Riley LOVED chasing Robbie, and I'm thinking Robbie wasn't opposed, either. :)

Aren't these two precious? Riley absolutely adores her buddy. Plus, Robbie taught her not to be scared of the slide. What a brave little dude.

Young explorers! :)

I also forgot to mention that after Egglectic, we stopped by Stork's Cradle in Wheaton (where I will do all my baby shower shopping now, as it is INCREDIBLE!). Riley decided to use her Great-Granny and Granddad money for this cute and snuggly moo-cow.

When Daddy got home from work, Riley got to open her new Go Green bike. She hasn't quite figured out the pedaling thing, but we're working on it.

She also got a new bike boo-boo.

Riley truly got to celebrate a birth-week because, on Friday, we went to Grandma and Papa's house to hang out with them AND Cousin Ben, Hannah and Aunt Sarah.

Riley got a new book, all about being a big sister!

Ben struts. Riley giggles. Such is life. :)

But that wasn't all! On Saturday, the Green fam came over for a full-out part-ay! :) Riley helped me prepare the balloons...

Oh, Riley, the camera loves you.

Riley and the boys walked down to the church parking lot to play with Riley and Ben's bikes...

While Hannah and Noelle shared some giggles...

Two dolls :)

I'm pretty sure Riley can't wait till next year. :)

New greensies Goodies!

I'm totally addicted. But the first step is admitting it, right? I cannot stop making baby/kid stuff. And I get uber-excited about each new project. Currently, I'm working on Riley's birthday gear. The shirt's almost done (or-- it I don't get my sewing machine fixed in time-- it is done), and I really like it. Next up-- the tutu. Hehe... Mike doesn't even know what to do with all this girliness. :)

I've also kind of fallen in love with these silk flower hats. I may have to make a silk flower hair clip to match Riley's birthday outfit. I mean, go big or go home, right?

I'll post pics of Riley's entire get-up, once it's gotten done. :) For now, please wallow in the over-the-top fru-fru-ness.

Longest Blog Post Ever. No Doubt.

Riley modeled her puffy swimsuit which, by the way, was not a hit. I think she likes the security of not-too-much inflatable stuff between her and whoever is holding her. But she looks pretty stinkin' cute, huh? :)

And then, while Mommy's away...
She does beautiful artwork, doesn't she?

After a day at the pool, a girl's gotta relax in the world's biggest jacuzzi bathtub.

Putting our children's museum membership to good use, we checked out the one in Rancho Mirage.

Yep. That's my daughter, organizing her livestock perfectly. :)

The girl loves her milk and produce.

Riley met this little cutie at the pool. :)

Airplanes were a HUGE hit this trip. Every time she heard one, Riley pointed it out to us. We were near an airport. I could have shot quite a few of these pics. :)

Granddad and Noelle

We were on the FRONT ROW. Awesome. Just awesome. Thanks to Issie for amazing seats!

And speaking of amazing, Riley is going to be quite the tennis star, I think.

One more of sweet Noelle, just for good measure.

If you're still tuning in, kudos. You've got stamina. :)
