Etsy

To all of you who aren't super observant (or don't check the blog often enough to realize the difference), I added an Etsy sidebar. I shamelessly did this for publicity, but I really like getting to see the many faces of Noelle, modeling my headbands. She just cracks me up, that chunky monkey. And since I'm being shameless, keep your eyes on my Etsy site; I have new headband material being shipped as I type, and I'm pretty excited about it... :)

Mommy's Little Model

I've been making some flower hairclips to sell on Etsy, and I figured it would be nice to have some pictures of them being "modeled." Riley has been less than cooperative, choosing not to look at the camera, but Noelle... oh, Noelle, you little doll. She has been exceedingly helpful. :) Have a look-see... :)

If my baby super-models are at all convincing, and if you have a little girl in your life who just needs to be dolled up, go here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/greensies

I know... Shameless. :)

Big Girl Bed

I thought I was done blogging for the day, but this MUST be recorded. Yesterday, Riley slept in her big girl bed for the first time! She did an awesome job, not only for her THREE-HOUR nap, but she slept through the night, too. This morning, I started to make the clothes transfer since Noelle's stuff is all in the big girl room, and Riley's is in the nursery. However, I'm now realizing that that may have been a little premature. Apparently, the novelty has already worn off. I put Riley down about twenty minutes ago and came down to the computer. About five minutes later, I heard a THUMP. Oh, boy... I thought. I went up and found Riley out of bed and a full (and luckily, unopened) container of wipes on the floor. I picked her up, told her it was nappies time, and put her back in bed. I then came down and uploaded the pictures from my last post. Pretty much the moment I published it, I heard the scamper of little feet. As I made my way up the stairs, I hoped it was Kona, suddenly light of foot, wandering around the living room. No dice. I went in to Riley's room and found her out of bed again, a partially emptied container of wipes on the floor, and about a dozen wipes stuffed under her big girl comforter. I stifled a giggle, picked her up again (after cleaning up the wipes, that is), and put her back in bed. She's currently crying a little. I wonder if she's in bed or at the door, though. Should probably go see. Plus, now I get to leave you with a cliffhanger. Tune in next time... :)

Snow Days

Riley absolutely LOVES the snow, which is totally fun for me. I never thought I'd say that I liked to shovel snow, but when it's not too frigid and windy out there, and Noelle is asleep, Riley and I get to go outside for a little change of pace. Yesterday, due to our crazy weather, we got to have TWO shovel playdates!

I kept trying to get Kona to pose with Riley, but she was too busy anxiously anticipating her BFF Scout's arrival. Which way do you think it is to Scout's house? :)

Kona finally sat still for a moment, but not long enough for Riley to get the hug she wanted.

After our snowy escapades, I had to drag Riley in, literally kicking and screaming. It helped a little when she got to wear Mommy's hat, though I think she was just trying to re-bundle herself for another trip outside.

Playdates

We had yet another fun breakfast playdate over at the Livingstons yesterday. Riley and Robbie both got "hot chocolate" (aka chocolate milk) while the moms gladly consumed their Starbucks chais. Oh, chai... It's just so calming and delicious. Actually, this morning, I just opened my third 32-oz container of Tazo chai in the past two weeks. I'm not an addict... It's cool... :)

But enough about that glorious beverage. Here are some shots from the playdate, plus a few of Noelle from later on in the day.

Riley's pretty excited about the Thomas stickers Robbie shared with her.

"Tummy time" for all four babies. Robbie's wondering what that crazy kid next to him is doing while Ellie reaches for something to chew on and Noelle, poor girl, simply tries to lift her head. :)

"Hmmm... What now?"

Look at that BEAUTIFUL Ellie-girl!

These two are mesmerized by "Gabba!"

Riley was kind enough to let Noelle borrow her owl bow for this shoot.

And Noelle actually got to cuddle on Roly... though I'm pretty sure that, just off camera, I'm boxing Riley out. :)

"Oh, Roly, I'm so glad we can actually spend some time together. I love you!"

Lousy by Comparison

After posting all of Connie's pictures, mine are going to look extra-miserable, and I'm going to be extra-longing for a new camera, but these are just too hilarious and indicative of our lives NOT to post. :)

I attempted to take 2-month pictures of Noelle and Roly. However, Riley was less than thrilled that Roly (who does belong to Noelle) was playing with Little Sis. Thus, this was the best shot I could get off before a major older sibling meltdown. I call it "Wow, There's a Lot of Screaming Going On, and What's This Pig Doing?"

After Riley got Roly, she then insisted on jumping up into the "photo seat" for her own shoot. Just like her daddy-- a camera hog.

We have very good news to report in the Green household. Riley has gone from being absurdly picky to eating fish sticks, meatballs, chicken, broccoli and more. Now, most of these items have been dipped in ketchup, but seriously, if she's going to eat them, go ahead and dip, Kiddo! The dip doesn't always necessarily make it to the mouth, however. :)

Riley goes on a sticker craze every so often. This was after Noelle's doctor appointment. Riley, once again, received a boatload of stickers. After using those, she then went into our sticker book and built up for herself her very own fold of sheep. I believe there are five, maybe six sheep?

Riley Bo-Peep

Roly's getting a lot of lovin' these days :)

We're knocking off two of the three R's in this one. Instead of playing with her toys, Riley is RE-USING our RECYCLING. And notice what she chose to chug. That's my girl. :)

Noelle has gotten more and more smiley! Look at that big cheesy grin!

A Few More

I realized that Mike and I didn't make it into that last round of pics, and that's why you're reading this blog, right? To see Mike and me. Obviously. So here you go...

A handsome man and his sweet little girl. Noelle looks gorgeous here, doesn't she??

See, Mike, she doesn't always look at you with eyes wide with fear. :)

Mommy loves her girls.

I think this one's so cute. I love how you can just make out her bare feet.

More from the Photo Shoot

Okay... I have a few moments, though I have to go get a crying baby. Here are just a few of the pics Connie took. Aren't they AMAZING?!?

Won't you be my...

I'm so grateful for many things these days-- Mike's new job, the fact that Riley loves her little sister, Noelle's growth and development, loving friends who live close by. This morning, though, as I'm scrolling through hundreds of pictures of my girl, I'm really thankful for new "neighbors."

The Tamelings, I guess, aren't technically neighbors-- or at least they're only temporary neighbors-- since they're just renting the house a couple doors down, but in the love-thy-neighbor-as-thyself sense, they have loved on us so much. Connie trudged through the snow this morning to deliver a disk containing the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. And she delivered a "hello" from Hannah, her daughter who Riley is simply enamored with, and rightly so, as Hannah is a sweet, caring, beautiful girl. On a lighter note, the Tamelings are also "parents" to Scout, and I'm pretty sure that, at this point, Kona couldn't survive without the Scouter. :) It's been fantastic getting to know all of them over the past year. And I'm so happy to report that their real house is only just around the corner. Phew. What would we do without them?!

This segway is rough, but here's one of the photos Connie took. If you want a card, I have some. As you can see (and as I've said before), she's fantastic! Oh, and there will be more photos to come, but seeing as how I started this post yesterday morning and am now just finishing it, I have to upload later. :)
